Our Mission
Hill Country Hope Foundation aims to empower and support foster, kinship, & adoptive families by providing resources, guidance, and a compassionate community to help them thrive. We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children in foster care and ensuring that foster & adoptive parents have the tools, education, and emotional support they need to offer safe, loving, and stable homes. Through collaboration, advocacy, and education, we strive to create a brighter future for children and the families who care for them.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where every family is fully supported, thriving, and empowered to provide children with the love, stability, and opportunities they deserve. We envision a future where all foster, kinship, & adoptive families have the resources, guidance, and community they need to make a lasting impact, ensuring every child in the Texas Hill Country grows up in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
Who We Serve
Hill Country Hope Foundation serves foster, kinship, & adoptive families in the following Texas Hill Country counties: Bandera, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Coryell, Crockett, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Maverick, Real, San Saba, Schleicher, Sutton, Travis, Val Verde, Williamson, & Zavala County.
Biological Families: Families who are referred by Child Protective Services and need resources to meet State required mandates to care for their children.
Kinship Families: Relatives or close family friends that unexpectedly take in a child impacted by the foster care system, instead of the child being put in the foster care or an unrelated adoptive family. Kinship care is often considered to be in the best interest of the child, because it helps maintain cultural, emotional, and familial ties.
Foster Families: Families who have gone through all training and home studies to qualify to care for foster children. Foster families provide temporary care and a safe, nurturing environment for children who are unable to live with their biological families. Foster care is usually a short-term solution while children’s biological families are working on resolving issues. Foster families are usually recruited and supported by governmental or non-profit agencies.
Adoptive Families: Families who have adopted children from the foster system, privately, or internationally. Adoptive families provide children with a stable, loving home and assume all right and responsibilities that a biological parent would have.
