Why give?

  • Texas ranks 2nd in the nation for the number of children in foster care, with approximately 30,000 in the Texas foster care system.

  • Approximately 40% of children in foster care are separated from siblings & biological family during placement.

  • 50% of children that enter foster care experience multiple placements & are forced to spend extended time in the system.

  • 60% of children in foster & adoptive care are diagnosed with mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, & behavioral issues.

  • Every dollar donated to programs supporting our foster & adoptive children can directly improve their mental health, educational opportunities, & transition into adulthood, resulting in a stronger, healthier future for thousands of young people.

  • On average children that have been in the foster system are 2 grade levels behind in school.

 FAQs

  • At Hill Country Hope Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that every donation you make goes directly to supporting foster and adoptive children. We cover our operational costs through other sources, allowing your online contribution to be fully dedicated to programs that directly benefit these children.

Thank you for helping us make a lasting impact!

  • Hill Country Hope Foundation serves children and families in the foster care and adoption system who have a referral from Child Protective Services (CPS) or completed intake paperwork in the following counties: Bandera, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Coryell, Crockett, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Real, San Saba, Schleicher, Sutton, Travis, Val Verde, and Williamson. Our services are available to those who meet these requirements to ensure we are reaching those in need of support and assistance.

  • While federal & state programs provide basic services, they fall short of meeting all the needs of our families. Your contribution allows us to help bridge this gap.

The number of children in foster, kin-ship, & adoptive families continues to rise in the Texas Hill Country. Many of these families face long-term emotional, financial, & logistic hardships. Your donation helps Hill Country Hope Foundation provide immediate resources & ongoing assistance for the families to create safe & nurturing homes for children in their care.
